72nd Sanremo Festival
On 4th February 2022, Vinicio Capossela performed at Sanremo Festival with the singer-songwriter Giovanni Truppi and Mauro Pagani. The three performed a song by Fabrizio De André called «Nella mia ora di libertà».
The song has been released as a single too. You can listen to it through all streaming platforms.
Ex-pònz at Dubai Expo
On 13th March 2022, Vinicio Capossela performed for the second time at Dubai's Expo; he performed a show that was focused on the themes of culture and cultivation, a theme that introduced the next edition of Sponz Fest. For this reason, the show was called «Ex-pònz”, a wordplay between Expo and Sponz.
This concert focuses on earth, crops and land drawing inspiration from folkloristic heritage and bringing the outskirts of Italy into the spotlight, within the context of a universal exposition dedicated to sustainability. The title, "EX-ponz", refers to an experience that turns ten years old this year, the "Sponz Fest", an event held annually in the irpinian area of Italy. The tracks of the Earth Concert are mainly taken from the albums "Canzoni della Cupa" and "Ballate per Uomini e Bestie", which shed light on the relationship between humans, earth and animals.
Along with Capossela, the other musicians were Alessandro "Asso" Stefana, Victor Herrero, Andrea Lamacchia, Mikey Kenney and Peppe Leone.
Volterra22: I want to dream of a man
On 2nd April 2022, Vinicio Capossela performed in Volterra, tuscan capital of culture, in two particular sets: during the first one, that started at 3 p.m., the artist and his musicians were hosted by Armando Punzo's Compagnia della Fortezza for a special show, because the music accompanied the acting of convicted actors. At night, Capossela performed his own concert too.
Except for Capossela, two other artists joined the event: Giovanni Truppi, who sang «Nella mia ora di libertà», and Mariangela Capossela, who is going to work on the stories and the people who lived in the former psychiatric hospital.

Bibliopedic concert
On 23rd April 2022, at Taneto di Gattatico's Fuori Orario, historical club where the classic Christmas concert is held, Capossela performed a peculiar show. Its title «Bibliopedic concert» revealed the nature of the repertoire. In fact, he chose some of his own songs that come from the books that he loves the most. Every song has been introduced by a short reading of the book that inspired it.

Ariosto Festival
On 8th and 9th August 2022, in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (LU), took place a festival called «Di qua di là di su di giù»; it was dedicated to the figure of poet and governor Ludovico Ariosto, who lived between XV and XVI century. Vinicio Capossela was the art director of the festival.
Rolling Sponz Review
Between July and August 2022, Vinicio Capossela performed the show Rolling Sponz Review, an extralarge concert with some of the musicians that are the soul of Sponz Fest, the summer festival held in Irpinia (Southern Italy) and directed by Vinicio Capossela.
